Patient satisfaction towards the quality of nursing care among the patients of private hospitals of Jodhpur, India

Background: Patient satisfaction is a good indicator for measuring the quality of nursing care delivered by nurse to hospitalized patient. This will help administrator identify ways improving and health services. The study aims assess level patient’s towards among patients. Methods: A descriptive survey was carried on 100 patients selected using non-probability purposive sampling, who were discharged from private hospitals at Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Modified form Dr. Laschinger’s “Patient Satisfaction with Nursing Care Quality Questionnaire” (PSNCQQ) used measure patient satisfaction. written permission obtained conduct authority an informed consent taken each participant. Results: findings indicate that majority (70%) sample highly satisfied mean score 61.38±9.692 (76.72%). Majority (66%) “Information given regarding investigations treatments” only (26%) “Coordination after discharge.” Patients aged 18-30 years, belonged urban area, up secondary educated admitted through OPD found more satisfied. Conclusions: showed participants provided in hospital. PSNCQQ useful instrument evaluating care. can contribute service provision develop improve based patients' expectations.
